HI there
My entourage gives the above error and then saves the email into drafts...i have tried creating a new identity....deleting the existing one after running in parallel for a while...cutting and pasting into new mail....un-istalling and reinstalling office...using wireless and hardwired internet access and the result was flaky usage...now upon opening it does nothing...has anyone had the same experience?

Anybody know a solution?

many thanks
Andrew

My entourage gives the above error and then saves the email into drafts..

BTW, did it ever work? Have there been any changes on the server that need
advanced setting changed?

This particular error is not listed on the Error Page, but often errors
close in number have similar solutions.

Error -18599

I'm not sure why this happened, but it is related to authentication. We use
Kerberos authentication which is normally quite reliable, however there must
have been a problem with the ticket, because the user could not send or
receive mail, and received this error instead. I quit Entourage and
relaunched it. Then we were asked to re-authenticate by providing
credentials- the special dialog box with Entourage's icon and the Kerberos
icon in miniature came up. All functions then worked properly. I checked the
Kerberos application in /System/Library/CoreServices/ and we had been issued
a fresh ticket. (fix provided by Jason C.)

I suggest installing tcpflow and monitor the traffic to see if it give you
any clues.

How to use TCPflow to test Send & Receive:
