Entourage freezes when attempt to delete email

I think that I have corrupt email. when I attempt to delete certain email which may or may not have an attachment, Entourage freezes. I have rebuilt program several times, but still crashes. how do I fix the problem and get the program restored.

Try turning the preview pane off before selecting the message to delete.
This works in some cases.
