I am looking to purchase either a Nokia N97 or Apple iPhone 3GS, and want to know if I can sync Entourage mail with either of these devices successfully. Would love to hear some feedback on this...thanks!

Hi Elise,

you can only do so indirectly. If you enable Sync Services in Entourage's
preferences, it will synch its data with Address Book and iCal, which, in
turn, can be synched with the iPhone via iTunes. I have just had a quick
look, and as far as I can see, there is currently no iSync plug-in for the
Nokia N97, so you won't be able to synch it with your Mac, at least not
without jumping through a few hoops.

Keep in mind that there are some drawbacks to using Sync Services, the most
important one being that Entourage categories will be lost in the process.
Furthermore, you will only be able to use one calendar in iCal due to a
limitation in Sync Services. Read this article for more details:

and_ical.html>

If the above link does not work, try this one instead:

You might be able to get better results using commercial software, such as
The Missing Sync.

With a Mac you should chose an iPhone, and with a Mac and an iPhone
you should look at MobileMe (Exchange for the rest of us)
http://www.apple.com/mobileme/whats-new/

Entourage is an excellent client for MobileMe (which is IMAP4-based).
This allows for transparent synchronization of e-mail, contacts and
calendars. You can also synch with a Windows client, such as Outlook
2007.

In addition you get the "Exchange feature" remote wipe and a feature
Exchange should have had: Locate my iPhone.

I have been using this for a half a year. Excellent.
