Hello - at the worst possible time my Entourage crashed over and over and kept saying it needed the identity to be rebuilt. On the last rebuild, when it opened - NONE of my contacts, email folders, outbox, inbox, etc was there!

I tried to import them from the backed up identity and no luck - now I have 4 identities and lot's of memory being wasted. Also, when I try and switch identities, it will not open the other backed up identities.

HELP - PLEASE! ! !!

Hello - at the worst possible time my Entourage crashed over and over and kept
saying it needed the identity to be rebuilt. On the last rebuild, when it

When Entourage rebuilds, it makes a backup copy. Go back to the first
rebuild backup. If it will open, I suggest manually moving your data out.

How to manually move your data:

I tried to import them from the backed up identity and no luck - now I have 4
identities and lot's of memory being wasted. Also, when I try and switch
identities, it will not open the other backed up identities.

You can't import from the same version.

Please don't shout! I understand you are frustrated, but typing in all caps
is hard to read and considered rude.

If you do not have any backups then you are out of luck. This is why
snapshots are so important. If your data is important you should back it up.
Everyone loses data it's not "if" but "when".

See this tutorial:
Entourage and Time Machine (creates chronological backup of Identity can be
used by both Tiger and Leopard)

Hi Diane,

Sorry did not mean to be rude or to yell. So to summarize if I try to open the identity and it is blank then the file is gone, even though it shows 86MB? I do actually have time machine on my home computer - this is through work (small business - no it person or server).

Thanks, Lisa
