Hello. I am a newbi in MAC computers. I have maybe a stupid question, but I havent seen any hint about it anywhere.
The question is : does OWA need to be enabled on exchange server when using Entourage on a computer ? I have problems to log on to exchange server although I have all the settings correct. We dont use OWA on our exchange server.
Thanks for reply.

Hi,
Hello. I am a newbi in MAC computers.

:)
Well MAC is an acronym used to design the Media Access Control address
or Ethernet Hardware Address.
I guess you mean Mac (short for Macintosh) ;-)

Absolutely!

Well without OWA, Entourage has no wat to get your data.
You could usetup your account as an IMAP account (providing IMAP is
enabled on the server), but you then lose all the benefits of Exchange
accounts,

OWA itself doesn't need to be enabled but WebDAV does. OWA connects to
Exchange via OWA.

In Exchange Server 2007 WebDAV would be installed as part of Legacy
Applications.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for both answers. I am more wiser now.
Ok, I have one more question. We dont have exchange 2007. How is it with the WebDAV on older versions ?

It works OK. You'll miss a few features, but it's not too bad,
