Hi,

Yesterday my entourage just sort of locked up. i click send and
recieve all and it just goes into endless beachball.

I compacted and andvance compacted. No love.

I made a new identity (why do i have to close all other office apps to
do switch?) and put in both my e-mail info's...and that identity works
fine (but i do'nt have my old e-maile, etc).

I went back to the original idenity and experimented... it recieves
(both) fine...it's just send that throws it into the loop....

help! i LIVE in e-mail.

thanks,

Try to rebuild the Entourage Database. Try Typical rebuild first!

Thank you,
Vsevolod.

Thanks, Vsevlold,

I did try to rebuild the db...both typical and then advanced....that
is waht i meant by my comments about compacting.

This did not work.

I am on OSX, and office X with updates.

Plan "B:???

Plan B: :)

- disconnect network cable
- start ENT with your old Identity.
- Drag your e-mails to the folder on the desktop
- Switch to a new identity
- drag e-mail back to ENT
- connect network cable.

Thank you,
Vsevolod.

First, go to Window -> Progress and stop all processes. Then, open the
Outbox, and delete or move all items that are there so that it is empty.
Does the Send & Receive All schedule then work?

Mickey,

IT WORKED!! Duh! why didn't i think to remove the offending out-going
mail sooner! I will try to resend it and see if that one item
continues to jamm me up. Wonder why it did that? it was to a
recipiant i have sent to many times before.

Well thanks! i leanred a lot along the way!
