I just bought Office 2008 for students and teachers. The first day entourage worked, receiving and sending emails, the morning after the Entourage logo was not on the dock, and it was not receiving emails any more. I have resetted it, all the informations are OK, but still no emails arrive.
The settings are pop.fastwebnet.it and smtp.fastwebnet.it.
The id account is my email address : is this correct?
The message says: server can not be contacted, error -3259
Thank you.

I am having a similar problem, though Entourage worked with the Office
2008 for months until last week on Tuesday. Now I cannot receive
mail, though I can send and update my calendar and so on. I am having
to get mail through the web-based Microsoft Outlook. I'm wondering if
a recent software update screwed something up, for lack of a better
term.

Entourage will stay in the Dock if you drag it there or if you select "keep
in Dock."

You might need to select options under "Advanced tab" for either POP or
SMTP. Your ISP should be able to tell you if these setting are required.

1. If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration
2. If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration
