Entourage suddenly loses account

B

Brassmoose

I closed Entourage and shut down my computer as normal. When I opened
Entourage again, the set-up wizard pops up and asks me if I want to
create an account. That's weird, I think to myself, and so I say no.
When the program loads, my account has gone missing, along with all my
mail folders. WTF?

I never got an error message or a crash or anything.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Normally, when your data goes missing it¹s user error however, other things
can cause it to disappear.

I did everything (because it looks like I accidentally moved it), and
my original identity is still available, but still Entourage won't
load up with it, even after I "switch identities." I noticed that the
"database" file that's listed on the fix site isn't in my folder, even
though all the messages, etc. are there. Any suggestions?

Did you move it back? Entourage can only see Identities in the correct
location.

~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office 2008 Identities/your identity

You can rename one so you can drag the original one back.
