Entourage v 11.3.6

I am running Entourage, version 11.3.6 on an Imac OSX 10.4.11.

A couple of weeks ago a number of my email messages started going
directly into "Junk E-Mail" under "Folders on my Computer" rather than
directly into my"Inbox" on the server.

I do not have any rules set up and I have not changed any settings as
far as I am aware.

Does anybody have any knowledge how to remedy this problem as it is
very frustrating. I have spoken to our Mac expert and he seems to
think the problem is coming from the server and not my computer?

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

You must have a rule that is moving the message. The most likely culprit is
the Mailing List Manager (MLM). It's very easy to set up a MLM rule by
accident, when you are marking a message as 'not junk'. The wording of that
dialog is ambiguous to say the least. Check if there is an MLM entry (look
for MLM entries under the tools menu) with the incorrect destination folder
as the target folder. Mailing List Manager rules run before your other
rules.

There are 3 different kind of rules in Entourage:

Mailing List Manager (MLM)
Junk Mail Filter
Rules (custom rules you create)

They run in the order listed above. The custom rules also run in the order
they are listed. (top runs first)

I checked the MLM and there was a rule sending my email to the junk
folder so I have deleted it and hopefully this will resolve all my
problems.

Thanks for the feedback. This is one of the top questions asked. We hope to
see improvements to this in Entourage 2008 so it doesn't create so much
trouble for users.
