Entourage won't receive pop

Just set up Entourage on MAC OSX with cable via attbi. I
was using Apple Mail, which worked fine. Entourage,
however, will NOT receive mail. It will send, but just
spins forever on "receiving 0 of 0 new messages" I've
recreated my identity, recreated the keychain that holds
my password info, recreated the account, ran all the
updates on Office.x... Any suggestions?
