Entourage Working offline - IMAP or Exchange mode?

Hi, is it better to set up a laptop running Entourage in Work Offline
mode with an IMAP or Exchange account to the email server? I have had
more experience of setting up for Exchange and wonder if there are any
pitfalls of doing it this way or whether IMAP is really the way to go.

While working offline, you can read e-mail messages from any of your mail
accounts if the messages were downloaded to your computer before you went
offline. Although IMAP, Windows Live Hotmail, and Microsoft Exchange account
messages are stored on the server, Entourage stores copies of messages that
you have received in the Entourage database and you can access them even
when you are not connected to the network or Internet.

If you create a new message while offline, you can click Send to store the
message in the Outbox; the message will be sent next time you go online.
