" Unable to connect to Microsoft Entourage. Try opening Microsoft Entourage first, then run the import."

The Entourage is already open, but I am getting this message.

The Entourage is already open, but I am getting this message.

This is Apple Mail's issue. Export as MBOX files in Entourage and Mail can
import those. Get the script Archive Message Folders by Jolly Roger, or you
can drag each folder to the desktop individually. Subfolders must be dragged
individually too. The script does this for you automatically. If the script
fails, then your messages are corrupt.

it works for me (mail v3.5; Entourage v12.1.7).

It may be you have some corruption in your Entourage database - try to
rebuild it by holding down the Option key when starting Entourage. keep
the Option key held down until you see the rebuild screen, then follow
the instructions.
