Envelope appears when new message arrives

When I have entourage open but minimized to the Dock I notice that when I
receive a new message an envelope appears on the Entourage icon. This is
great, however, it doesn¹t happen all the time I receive a message while
e-mail is minimized. Does anyone know where or how I set this preference.
I know that under preferences, notifications I have set the icon to not
animate, and to display the subject only....but nothing on the envelope.

Hi,
I think the envelope only appears when Entourage is not the currently active
application. In other words, when you minimize your Entourage window,
Entourage will remain active and therefore not display the envelope.
However, if you minimize your Entourage window and then switch to another
application (simply clicking on your desktop will switch to the Finder),
then you should see it.
