Environment for multiuser testing

Hello, I split .mdb database and .mdb application and place database into
folder \DB, place 2 copies of application into \APP1 and \APP2. All are on
the same machine. Then test for record locking. I found it does not lock the
record properly.

By test multiuser system on one machine only, Could it cause improperly
locking ?
