Hi Paul,
I had a similar issue and after contact Microsoft Personnel we were able to
sort out the issue...Please read email thread that follows.

STARTS HERE----->
Hi Bishan,
I am happy to hear that the issue is resolved. There are issues related to
the Enterprise custom fields in Beta 2 TR and I suspect that it could be
because of the corrupt cache in the project professional 2007 system.
Cleaning up the cache would resolve this kind of issue where it shows wrong
values when working with professional, but not when working with PWA (We have
observed that the values are correct in PWA). Sometimes, if deleting the .mpc
files do not solve the issue, you can also try deleting the contents of cache
folder.

Hi Lakshmana,
Thanks for your prompt feedback. I have followed the steps indicated below
and it seems to have resolved the issue from my side. Can you explain to me
why this had happened?
Mike / Jacques can you please attempt the steps below and verify if this
resolves the issue!
Jacques – I created a new test project plan, TT_Test Lookup Tables and
didn’t get the mixed values in the lookup tables, also when I selected an
existing project the values for the custom fields are indicating correctly
from the lookup tables.
Thanks again Laksmana.
Kind Regards,

Hi Bishan,
Please try the following and let me know the results.
1. In your system where project professional 2007 is installed, go to
c:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Microsoft\MS
Project\Cache\<cacheGUID>. Delete the "global[n].mpc" files (where n equals
an integer value). You have to perform this when you are not using Project
Professional.
2. If multiple users use the same system and have multiple profiles in
Documents and Settings folder, follow the above step for each profile.
3. Launch project professional and use the Ent. Custom fields.
Best Regards,
Laksh
