EPM 2007 : Users vs Resources

Hello,

In the Resource Center, i have a resource named John Doe. This resources in
assigned on several tasks in sevral projects, but it has no Windows
accounts. John Doe doesn't appear in the Manage Users page of PWA. So I
created a Windows account in AD for him.
But, now, how can I add him in the users list. If I try to create a new
user, Project Server warns : "The resource name is already in use. You must
select a unique name for the resource".
So, how can I create this User ?

If you open the Enterprise Resource Pool in Project Professional 2007 and
check out this user, can't you add this Windows network user account
information in the Resource Information dialog? When you save the changes,
doesn't the system create a user account automatically? Let us know.

Hello Dale,

I opened the Enterprise Resource Pool in Project Professional 2007 and I
checked out this user, set his Windows account as domaine\username, but when
I tried to save the Cheked-out Enterprise Resources, I got the error :
"Resource NT Account Already in Use".
Any other idea ?

Robert X --

That usually means the Windows account is already entered on another user's
account. Could this explain the problem? Let us know.
