Equation boxes are opened very slowly

Hello,
I have a very strange problem with Word Equation.
I am typing a lot of math using Word 2000 with Hebrew
support. I am working with Win98 SE.
All goes fine until one day the equations typed by Editor
are not opened as usual. I mean that when I open the
document, the text is OK, all other features work
perfectly, but it takes about 1 sec or more to open
every equation symbol, which makes the work impossible.
The problem is not new. Last time I solved it by
reformatting the disk - a very painful solution. Today I
tried to erase completely the Office (I used Eraser 2000),
but with no avail.

Vicky, perhaps this article from our web site will help. Word
tends to accumulate lots of temporary files (sometimes literally
thousands), and this can have a dramatic effect on its speed of
operation.
