Equation editor display incorrectly. How do i fix it?

When entering equations, the symbols do not appear correctly. How
can i fix this?

Make sure these styles are set to use Symbol font: LC Greek, UC Greek,
Symbol. (This is in the Styles menu -- click on Define.)
