Equation editor enclosures

Does anyone know how to make .doc files created on a PC that include
equation editor "pictures" show up and print on the Mac side?
I have a Professor that doesn't seem capable of creating a PDF file
and I have to jump through hoops everytime he sends a Stats document!
:(

Since Mac has equation editor too, it shouldn't be a problem, though I'm not
that familiar with EE. But there's a number of prefs to turn off display
and printing of pictures, which might be your problem. Look in the Word |
Preferences dialog, under both View (check drawings, uncheck image
placeholders) and Print (check drawing objects).

Thanx. I checked those areas and I already had those settings correct.
Still no luck though. Thanx again.

Equation Editor in Word 2004 is supposed to "just work".

Which version of Word, and which version of Equation Editor is being used
here?

Hint: Turn Preferences>View>Field Codes ON, then look at the "EMBED" field.
It will tell you the version of Equation Editor that was in use.

Get back to me with that information and I will do a little testing for you.

Cheers

Sorry to take so long in answering this Debi, but since the
graphic format is different on the 2 OSs, equations created on
the PC may or may not display correctly on the Mac. More of them
won't display correctly than will.

The full-featured version of Equation Editor -- MathType --
includes a macro that will convert all equations created on one
platform into a format usable on the other platform. You can
download an evaluation version at the link in my sig.
