Equation editor error in Word 2003

Dear All,

I receive an error message of "The server application, source file or
item cannot be found" when I try to doble-click an equation in a Word
2003 document. OTOH, I am able to insert new equation through "Insert ->
Object -> Microsoft Equation 3.0".

How can I enable the double-click equation editor start?
