Equation Editor - Pr font

When I type Prob in Equation Editor, why does the Pr change to non-italics
and the ob stays as italics? If I type prob, it all stays italics. What is
unique about Pr?

"Math style

When the Math style is in effect, Equation Editor applies a function
recognition algorithm to selected characters or to characters you type
subsequently. If it recognizes a string of characters as a standard
abbreviation for a function name, such as sin for the sine function, the
characters will be formatted in the Function style. Otherwise, the
Variable style will be used."
