Equation Spaces Out

P

pdberger

I inserted an equation in a PP page, and the words now overlap each other a
little.

I have PP 2003, and used MS Equation Editor 3.0. I set the style to 'Text'.

When I originally did it, it looked okay. However, I wanted the equation
running across the width of the screen with text above it, rather than having
two side-by-side spaces. Now that I've resized them, I find the words
overlapping.

How can I fix this?

thanks in advance.

I do not like Eq.3 office tool, but have used it on occasion.

If the equation is changed after the original frame is created on a slide,
the character spacing will probably be off. To fix this, either 1) remake
the equation, or 2) enlarge the equation in an unused part of the slide or
area off the slide. Then manually drag the top or side handles to make the
spacing appear correct. Then use the corner handles to resize it back to
the size it is needed.

All the sizing tools for the equation object are based on the original frame
size (not the size it should be after updating), so these tools are somewhat
un-helpful.
