Any sense on when/if Microsoft will fix the equation editor problem between 2008 and 2007? I write jointly with co-authors, some of whom use 2007. We would at the least like to be able to read the equations. Thanks.

Roger, I haven't heard any hint that what you're asking for will ever
happen. However, MathType is compatible from Windows to Mac, and with
Word 2007 & 2008. If your co-authors prefer the OMML equation editor
in Word 2007 (that's the new equation editor), they can use MathType
to convert these equations to MathType equations, so you can edit
them.

Thanks. I have Mathtype (and find it a really great product) but so far have not convinced my co-authors to convert. Right now there is a different equation editor for each version out there. So moving to mathtype makes a lot sense. Thanks for the response.
