Eratic insertion cursor

I am using Vista and Office 2007. When I type doesn't matter whether its
Word, e-mail, etc. my cursor (insertion point) persist in moving to another
location and taking whatever characters I type with it. Then I have to go
find it and bring it back. How do I take care of this problem?

Sounds like you are using a laptop, and the mouse touch pad is being
touched while you are typing in the application.
