ERD relationship connections Visio 2003

I am trying to change the relationship connector style by choosing
format->line and then choosing different ends for the line. It changes in the
preview of the dialog, but no effect on the actual connector.

Neither can I.
Is there no rule in ERD as in UML about the meaning of the line arrows ?
Maybe Visio protects you against yourself.
This is diagramming, not drawing.

It is protected because of the standard notation for ERD diagram.
Nevertheless if you want to
change it disregrading the notation do this :
Select the relation
Open the shapesheet
Go to the line format section
Delete the GUARD in the BeginArrow cell
Delete the GUARD in the EndArrow cell
Thats all folks

Enjoy with visio

You do NOT have to be a member to use any of the Microsoft newsgroups. There
are some sites that repackage the content of these newsgroups and pretend
that the content is their own. They usually require membership and use ad
revenue to make money.

To use these newsgroups directly, use Outlook Express, Mail or one of the
other newsgroup readers and create an account for the newsgroups with a
server name of msnews.microsoft.com.
