Erradic typing behaviour

System = Vista, Office 2003
Whislt typing, the position of typing moves all over the place erradically.
i.e. it will jump up or down a few lines and start carrying on typing in that
position. Extremely frustrating and time consuming! Have checked for virus
and malware - nothing.
Recently moved and had to go through airport scanners... could this have
caused the problem? PLEASE HELP!!!!

This will cause your erratic behavior. The microphone is picking up sounds and
translating the sounds into key strokes.

Thanks very much for that. Done as suggested, but didn't sort the problem I'm
afraid. It seems to jump to where the mouse curser is?? Have tested the mouse
according to the help support in windows, but result comes back as working
fine. Any other suggestions I could try? Really appreciate your help on this.

Are you using a laptop? Sometimes a sleeve or an inadvertent movement will tap
the built-in touchpad and give you erratic behavior. If you are using a mouse
can you disable the internal touchpad?
Have you looked in the mouse folder to see if you can change the defaults to
more in line with your personal use?
