Erratic slide transitions

I've done lots of Power Point presentations, but have run into a new problem.
The presentation I'm working on is 29 slides. Each slide has one text box
with two words in it and from eight to ten color photos. The latter fade in
and out of the slide using custom animation. I've set the slide transition
for "no transition" and "fast". However, the slides transition at differing
speeds from no time up to 4 seconds. Moreover, every time I view the slide
show, the transition times change. I'm trying to use three different music
tracks. With the erratic transition time, the tracks often play over each
other, or there is silence between the tracks. Has anyone ever encountered
this issue?

Hi JB,

It sounds like your computer's speed is just slightly slower than is needed
to produce the same speed reliably each time.

Try exporting the photos (you can right-click on the photos and Save As
JPEG) to make the file sizes smaller, then delete them from each slide and
re-insert them.

If your computer can support a graphics card, a good graphics card might
make the difference.
