error 0x800CCC92 email server rejected login

Outlook 2002 always sent and received messages properly until today, with my
Juno email, connecting by LAN. Now it is unable to send an email message,
and keeps popping up an "Enter Network Password" dialog box every few seconds
in an effort to send it, and the information in it seems to all be correct
and matches the user name, password, and server in the email account
properties. The "Outlook Send/Receive Progress" box shows the following
error over and over (probably from all the times the login box popped up):

Task 'mail.juno.com - Sending' reported error (0x800CCC92) : 'Your e-mail
server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your
account properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts.'

How can I fix this? Thank you for any help you can offer.

Sounds like a call to Juno is in order.

Hi Solana & Brian,

Did you manage to resolve this issue? I seem to be experiencing
similar problem to Solana's in that I've created a 3rd email accoun
within Outlook 2003 but cannot convince Outlook to connect to the emai
servers. I know the account name and password are ok as I can connec
via a web portal.

When using the 'Test Account Settings' within the account creation ta
I receive the following errors:

Send test e-mail message: Outlook could not connect to the outgoin
SMTP mail server because the server did not accept your user name o
password.

Log onto incoming mail server (POP3): Outllok could not connect to th
incoming mail server because the server did not accept your user nam
or password.

When using the normal 'Send and Receive' I get the following erro
reported:

Task 'GOSC - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC92): Your e-mail serve
rejected your login. Verify you user name and password in your accoun
properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts. The server responded
-ERR Error logging in. Please visit http://mail.yahoo.com'

I've had a support call in with BT Yahoo but all that did was confir
my config was set correctly.

Any ideas?
