I had the same problem. It had happened to me once last
year and then months later I found it as a backup
somewhere on my C drive. It didn't have a visio
extension. Anyway, it happened to me again the other day
after working on a chart for a week. I got the error, I
was booted out of Visio and then the file became corrupt.
I then tried opening other files I never had problems with
and by trying to open them, they also became corrupt. I
guess I should have rebooted and cleared the system before
trying to open another file. I had to recreate my chart.
I'm wondering if large graphic files can be causing this.
I'm downloading the update, so hopefully, it won't happen
to me again.
