Error 1026: Protocol Error "Expected SPACE not found".

I installed the update to Entourage a few days ago. I setup my email
account to get email from the exchange server. I have not been able
to sync my calendar but my email seems to be working fine.

When I perform a "Send&Receive" on my Exchange account, my email is
downloaded and I can read my messages. However, I get an error window
every time. The best I can tell, I'm receiving and sending email just
fine. I've just been ignoring the error window.

The error window displays the following message.

Error:
Mail could not be received at this time.

Explanation:
The server returns the following error.
Protocol Error: "Expected SPACE not found".

Error: 1026

Has anyone else seen this error message? If so, is your email
functioning properly?

Are you connection to an Exchange 2000 server (ask your admin if you aren't
sure)? That is a requirement for getting the full functionality in Entourage
10.1.4

Can you connect to your server without error using an IMAP account in
Entourage (or Windows OE if you have access to a PC)?

Since this post, Gil's provided additional information.

SPACE not found - If you get an IMAP error saying something like ³Expected
SPACE not found² then make sure none of your folder names have odd characters
in them (such as a back slash or a quote mark).
