error -108 "Not Enough Memory"

I keep getting an error when I try to send email (error: -108) with
the message "not enough memory" on entourage 2001. When I try to
resend, or send another message the computer freezes. I can't find any
info or support anywhere, so I'm hoping you can help...

I have more than enough memory designated to Entourage.

a side note, even though it gives me an error message -108 when I try
to send that first email - it looks as though the message actually
gets sent.

Delete any stray messages in the Outbox, and then try sending. Does that
help?

If that doesn't help, try rebuilding the database. Quit Entourage, and then
restart Entourage holding down the Option key. When the Rebuild dialog box
comes up, choose to do a Typical Rebuild.

hmmmm?

You don't indicate what Mac OS you are on. Assuming you are on Mac OS 9.2.2
(or at least 9.1), make sure Virtual Memory is *ON*, and that you have
really allocated enough memory (like 16MB or more) to Entourage.
