Alan

When reinstalling Xp I get Error 1304. Error writing to file: C:\Program
files\Microsoft Office\Office10\MSTORES.DLL. Verifythat you have access to
that directory.

Any help appreciated TIA Alan

I'm trying to install Office 2003 on a Win XP Pro machine
and get the same error. Always stops at copying file
outlctl.dll. Tried copying all files to hard disk and
same error. Checked .cab files and outlctl.dll is there
and can be extracted manually. I even borrowed an Office
XP disc and tried installing. Same error at same file.

Anyone have any thoughts?

You might also try copying the contents of the CD to a
directory on your hard drive, then installing from the
hard drive.
