Error 1311 Setup cannot find E:\OFFICE1.CAB

While running Office Update on a Windows 2000 Server
machine, I ran into a problem in which I get an error
message that says that the file OFFICE1.CAB cannot be
found (the error number is 1311, if that is of any use).
I know that the file is there and is intact - in fact, I
am always able to use it and all other Office files
correctly if I copy the entire contents of the Office XP
Professional CD onto my hard disk and run Setup from
there. Can someone PLEASE tell me how I can FINALLY get
Windows to recognize the CAB file on the CD? Thank you.
