Error 1324

D

Don

I just installed Office 2000 on my XP system. The
installation reported that it ran correctly, including the
installation of SR-1a. Whenever I attempt to start up a
program in Office, however, I get several repetitions of
the following message:
Error 1324 The folder path "D:" contains an invalid
character.
My D drive is where all my data files reside. It's label
is "data". (My cleverness has distinct limits). After I
click through all the error messages, the programs appear
to operate normally, but the problem recurs every time I
start any Office program.
I would say that I'm baffled, but that gives me far
too much credit.
Thanks in advance.

Don
