Error 1326

Son uninstalled of copy of Office. He then put the Office 2003 student
edition cd in th drive. It ran as planned , product key OK etc. Then whilst
removing files it come up with the error 1326 Error getting file security.
This is on a Windows XP pro Dell laptop.
The only option is to click on OK and the the installation is rolled back.
Help please
