I am trying to troubleshoot an error I am getting when
trying to reinstall Office 2000 Premium edition. The
error is "Error 1500. Another installation is in
progress. You must complete that installation before
continuing this one." But it does not continue the
inprogress installation nor does it say what it is trying
to finish installing. I have searched the databases and
the Internet. Microsoft confirms it is a problem but
doesn't say a word about how to fix it. I have removed
the Inprogress registry key and upon reboot it comes
back. I tried to remove the entire Installation folder
in the registry but was denied. I used Process Explorer
to find the msiexec.exe process and 'killed' it but it
came right back.
Anyone have any clue how to solve this issue????
