Error 1719 when using Word 2007 as Outlook XP editor

I get a 1719 installation error when trying to use Word 2007 as my Outlook 2002 (XP) editor. Any ideas how to fix this? I've followed MS instructions to reinstall msiexec.exe but still get the error.

I'm stumped.

Update - workaround. I repaired Office XP and now Outlook XP will use Word XP for editing. I still haven't been able to get Word 2007 to work with Outlook XP.

You cannot use Word 2007 as email editor for Outlook XP.

To add;
OL requires the same version of Word as its editor
