Like many of you, we encountered the "error 1919" when attempting a
reinstall / new install of Office. It turns out that our problem was
caused by missing odb*.dll's. With the help of Microsoft we identified
the files that were missing from the system32 directory, found them in
the \winnt\system32\servicepacks directory and then copied all
odb*.dll's to system32. The Office repair then worked and everything
is back to normal.
