error 1933

When trying to install office 2000 i get the error
message. Error 1933 The windows installer service cannot
update one or more protected windows files".

Could any one help please ??????/

Does it ask for the "Windows XP SP1" CD prior to issuing this meesage? If
so, insert the Windows XP CD that was used to install the operating system
on your machine.
