Error 1935 during installation MS Office Outlook Connector 12.1

I'm using MS Office Outlook 2007 under Vista Ultimate and try to install
Outlook Connector 12.1 and the following message pops up:
"Error 1935. An error occured during the installation of assembly
policy.8.0.Microsoft.VC80.CRT,version="8.0.50727.762", type="win32-policy",
processorArchitecture="x86", publicKeyToken ="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b".
By clicking ok, the installation rolls back.

I initiated this installation because of the message popping up in Outlook
to download the latest version of the Connector. (I have 12.0 installed and
working)
