The following is causing me slight headaches :-(
I created several forms, one of them became corrupt and appears to influence
all of them. After closing the VB editor I can't open any form (and I like
to have at least the code from the other forms, even ASCII would be fine).
Of that particular form the Microsoft Jet-Database engine can't find an
object.
I've tried the following:
- Compact & Repair (doesn't work)
- Import/export forms (doesn't work)
- Deleting the form (doesn't work)
- Deleting the controls in the troubled form (I can go to the editor,
deleting the controls, but then Access crashes)
- It is possible to unbound the textboxes that are linked to a table
- It is possible to change the labels connected to the controls to textboxes
(3x error, but then it goes ...but also in the Control selection box a number
of strange characters appear, I can make them normal in the properties box,
but I can't still save the form, when I try to remove the controls, Access
crashes.
So the following questions:
- Is there any hope I can access the code of the other forms?
- Is it possible to remove this form without affecting the others?
- How to do so?
I don't care so much about the data, this can relatively easy be restored
(either from another source and I also managed to export tables and queries
to another database).
