Error -3260 -/- Entourage 2001

J

John B.

After I send a large attachment I often get the following error message when
I attempt to send new attachments. This occurs almost predictably when I
save a message (one with an attachment over 100K) before sending:

Mail could not be sent using the account "John B's ‹ mail account."

    A connection failure has occurred.

    Error -3260

Today I got the error when I tried to resend a message that I successfully
sent two weeks ago. Usually I can reconstruct the offending message by
copying and pasting content to a new message. Not today.

I tried a typical rebuild, to no avail.

All other mail seems to work fine.

Can wait for Entourage 2008!
