ERROR 404 message after partial upload

Up until yesterday I had no trouble with updating my site.
Now I keep getting an error 404 - site not found on
server. What gives? Why the change? The site is still
active. I can still access all my site statistics. Why
does Frontpage have a problem - and after partially
uploading - including confirming the password?
