I am working on frontpage 2000, i recently uploaded a file onto a new page
and when i click on the link it sends me to error 404 page. Why is this
happening? I made sure the file was published, the page was published and i
even changed the file names.

thanks!

I have no idea what a .pmd file is...but try renaming them 11_12_05.pmd and
whatever. Remove spaces (%20) and other junk from the file names, then
Recalculate Hyperlinks and republish.

What's a PMD file anyway???

Some servers will deliver a 404 error when asked for a file that does
not have a mime type set on the server. Check (with your host) that
the mime type for .pmd files has been set on your server.

whats weird is one link offered to dl the pmd file the other 404'd - of
course not knowing what a pmd is I didn't allow it to download.

Windows 2003 will retunrd File not found error for file extensions
(mime) not mapped on the web server (IIS6).

I second the previous suggestions.

Whatever the pmd file is it is there and is huge.
