error 5097 insufficient memory

Hi,

I upgraded the motherboard on existing computers and
reinstalled win2k on top of itself. A few of them receive
the error 5097, insufficient memory message when they use
a mailmerge macro. All the macro does is create a table,
filled it and then merged with an existing letter
template.

A way around it was to give end-users more access and
with windows2000 it meant domain admins. We consider that
a temperary solution because it creates a security issue.

I tried the following page recommended by prior posts.
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/InsufficientMemory.htm

However a solution could not be found. I even tried
removing Office xp completely and do a clean install. The
result was still the same. I'm sure there is more than
enough memory on the computer and an administrator
account has no problem using this macro.

I'm out of ideas...

Sincerely,
Dennis

Hi Dennis,

There is a simple solution for this issue. You just have to Change
location of Temp folder to locale drive
C:\Temp.

Please let me know has this helped You...

Thank You...

Hi Raghu,

I don't quite understand what you want me to change. All
end-users have a Temp folder on their computer named
C:\Temp. I didn't find any setting in Word with regards
to changing a temp folder.

Thanks,
Dennis
