Error 80070643

I have had difficulties similar to others who have reported here.
Service Pack 1 for Office 2007 will not install - it reports erro
80070643. I tried installing patch kb946691, which exits reporting tha
"installation failed." I tried uninstalling Office 2007, but that als
fails! (By the way, Office 2007 does not appear in "Programs an
Features" applet in the control panel.) I am running Vista Ultimate
with all current updates installed

How to uninstall the 2007 Office system if you cannot uninstall it by using
the "Add or Remove Programs" feature

See if you can uninstall Office 2007 now. Then reinstall Office 2007 (make
sure you have your product key handy).

Then try SP1 again.
