Error 80070663

There was a new office update SP1 yesterday(a very large file). But it is not
installing and giving error 80070663. I am usinng Vista home basic.
Can anyone help

I have the same problem - except I am running office 2007 and Vista Ultimate

OK I seem to have solved this for myself!

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate, Office Home & Student 2007 an
Office Outlook 2007.

I discovered that the installation files for Office Outlook 2007 wer
corrupted.

I went to:-

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301/en-us

and downloaded the "Windows Installer CleanUp Utility" and ran it o
Microsoft Outlook.

I then did the following.

1. ReInstalled Microsoft Outlook 2007 over the top of the curren
installation

2. Restarted the computer

3. Carried out a repair on Outlook

4. Restarted the computer

5. Installed Office 2007 SP1 Successfully!


I hope that this helps everyone
