Error Accessing File. Network Connection May Have Been Lost

Hi,

I'm in the middle of a major development project that
requires using Access 2000 VBA code, and now whenever I
try to open the VBA code screen either from the database
window or from a form or report I always get this error
message below:

"Error Accessing File. Network Connection May Have Been
Lost"

Afterwards the VBA code screen does open but then I can't
compile the existing code because every time I try to the
same message pops up again. I've tried re-installing
Office 2000, importing the objects and modules into a
blank database, and I've also checked the References
section to make sure that I have the DAO 3.6 library
checked.

Any idea of how I can solve this problem so that I can
continue coding?
