Error accessing Project Server

Client is having trouble accessing server. (03 Pro Client (WinXP) - 03 Server
(WinSvr03)

I've checked server/user permissions and roles; Project Pro enterprise
options, and from another machine, client can NOT access.

Client was able to acces prior to using fully qualified domain name (but
would error out occassionaly on publishing). Does the change from alias to
qualified foul things up? How do I fix?

Do you get any specific errors? Does PWA work for this user. Is this just
one one or several machines. Not sure I understand the context of alias to
FDQN - please explain.
