A few seconds after I open word (MS Office 2000) or WordPad, I get an error
message that says the application has caused an error and will be close and
an error log is being created. This is on Windows 2000.
It happens when I open the programs even if there is no file loaded. In
Word, it takes a bit longer if I get into options and start making changes,
but it still closes eventually. I've tried the stuff in the knowledge base
about normal.dot. It also does it when I open it with winword.exe /a. I
deleted the "data" registry key, but that didn't help. Reinstalling Office
2000 doesn't help. I also have FP2000 loaded and it works fine. The only
programs affected seem to be Word 2000 and WordPad.exe.
